Conducted user interviews with financiers, refinanciers, and lenders to understand needs and challenges related to legal charge and mortgage data. Evaluated competitor solutions and identified key data points and user expectations.

Findings

- Users found current systems like Companies House non-interactive and cumbersome.

- The need for detailed charge history and clear understanding of charges versus mortgages emerged.

- Identified user journey expectations for integrating this data into the existing platform.

Conceptual Design

Developed user personas, journey maps, and low-fidelity sketches. Iteratively refined designs based on feedback, focusing on features like advanced search, company profile enhancements, and detailed charge information.

Design & Implementation

Released an MVP, adding advanced search capabilities for charges, a dedicated "Charges & Mortgages" tab, and a modal for detailed charge information. Collaborated with developers for implementation and followed a structured design-to-release process.

Results

The feature set was successfully implemented, resulting in:

- 20% increase in subscription orders.

- Over 3,600 unique views of the charges tab within three months, exceeding initial expectations.
